The study, which included more than 10,000 Americans, found that those who dined the previous day had higher urinary levels than chemicals called phthalates, compared to people who ate all meals at home.
The results suggest that foods cooked in the old-fashioned home can be a way for people to reduce their consumption of phthalates, which have been associated with certain health risks.

The evidence was weaker when it came to potatoes and pizza.
